PRESIDENT-ELECT Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election has prompted South Korea to rethink sending weapons to Ukraine, reports Tass.

According to Bloomberg, said the Russian news agency, the decision may impact the direction of the conflict.

"President Yoon Suk Yeol's government now has to consider the US president-elect's stance as it looks at whether to change its long-standing policy of not sending lethal aid" to Kiev, an anonymous official said.

According to another high-ranking official, "Seoul is also looking at how Trump's approach to the war will affect support for Ukraine among a range of countries."
