China's Anhui Zhongxin Funeng Shipping has ordered four containerships from Jiangsu Dayang Offshore Equipment, with deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2028. The vessels will be built to designs by the Marine Design and Research Institute of China, reports Singapore's Splash 247.

The newbuilds will have a nominal capacity of 3,010 TEU, including 1,930 TEU on deck and 1,080 TEU in the holds. Space has also been allocated for refrigerated containers. The ships will measure 186 metres in length and approximately 35 metres in beam.

No pricing details have been disclosed. The order adds to a growing list of similar-sized boxships booked at Chinese yards by international owners, including Hai An Transport of Vietnam, Norway's Blystad Group, Greece's Costamare and Turkey's Ciner Group
