Chinese technology firm Baidu will begin testing its Apollo Go autonomous vehicle service in Switzerland from December 2025 under a new partnership with PostBus, the public transport subsidiary of Swiss Post, reported Reuters.

The trial fleet will operate in eastern Switzerland, with full commercial deployment expected by the first quarter of 2027. The service will cover the cantons of St. Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Appenzell Innerrhoden.

The move is part of Baidu's broader international expansion strategy for its self-driving business. In August, the company announced a partnership with Lyft to deploy robotaxis across Europe starting in 2026.

Baidu also signed a deal with Uber earlier this year to integrate thousands of its autonomous vehicles into the Uber platform across several global markets.
