Cathay Cargo has reconfirmed that Dominic Perret will succeed Tom Owen as director of cargo, reported London's Air Cargo News.

Perret, formerly regional general manager for Southeast Asia, will take over the role as Owen transitions to a corporate development position at Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO), part of the Swire Group.

Cathay Cargo first announced the leadership change in July but has not confirmed Perret's exact start date. The company praised his decade of senior leadership experience and ability to lead cross-cultural teams.

Mr Perret joined Cathay in 2000, with a brief stint at Swire Pacific Offshore. He has held roles including general manager of customer care, aircrew, flight operations and inflight services.

Mr Owen led Cathay Cargo for five years and will now become group director of corporate development at HAECO. Cathay Cargo thanked him for his contributions and leadership.

Cathay Pacific also recently appointed Anand Yedery as regional head of cargo for Europe and Toby Griffiths as head of cargo global sales and customer solutions.
