Wexco Cargo GSSA and China Airlines have agreed a new two-year extension of their UK general sales agent partnership, reports the American Journal of Transportation.

Wexco has supported China Airlines' UK cargo operations since 2012, covering belly hold capacity on passenger flights, dedicated freighter services and road feeder operations. The companies work closely at London Heathrow, Luxembourg and Taipei.

China Airlines currently operates five direct flights per week from Heathrow to Taipei, with freighter services via Luxembourg and onward connections to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Manila. Executives from both sides praised the collaboration, citing customer-first service and strong professional ties.

Wexco has helped China Airlines adapt its cargo offering, including supporting 'preighter' flights during the pandemic and adjusting road feeder services to meet post-Brexit customs requirements. The partnership has been credited with delivering seamless and dependable cargo operations for UK customers.

Wexco Managing Director Des Vertannes said the extension will take the partnership beyond 15 years, reflecting the diligence and commitment of both teams. China Airlines officials added that Wexco remains a trusted partner and that the relationship is expected to continue growing.
