Asia-Europe steady at US$731/TEU while rates jump 7.3pc to USWC

SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to northern Europe in the week ending Friday remained at US$731 per TEU, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
Asia-Mediterranean trade dropped 2.1 per cent to $751 per TEU, London's Loadstar reported.
Asia to the US west coast jumped 7.3 per cent to $2,503 per FEU while those to the east coast were static at $3,304 per FEU.
