THE Mariners' Club Hong Kong has announced that this year's maritime charity dinner to be held at the Hyatt Regency on November 15 will see the fifth year of its Seafarers Award's for the Ship Owner and Ship Manager of the Year voted for by seafarers employed on vessels either owned or managed in Hong Kong.
The organisers are looking for sponsors and are still accepting bookings for tables. They also would like to "encourage [ship] owners and managers to ask their crews to take part in the annual survey," adding that the surveys are freely available from their office in Kwai Chung, New Territories.
Aside from the awards, the evening is a charity event organised to raise money to support seafarers' welfare across east Asia, in particular projects in Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand.
