Assologistica names CEVA Logistics Company of the Year in Italy

FOR the ninth consecutive year CEVA Logistics has been named Logistics Company of the Year in Italy. The company was honoured for its focus on technical innovation in transport through its Paperless project and received the award from Assologistica, an Italian association of logistics companies.
The aim of the Paperless project was to completely remove paper from supply chain processes and involved creating an online document platform accessible by desktop computers or mobile devices. Users could then manage digital output, update documents and use the data to share information with customers in real-time.
The benefits of using the platform across Italy included a reduction in print-scan costs, less space required for physical storage and archiving, and improvements in the speed of processing data for supply chain customers meaning they had more accurate and timely information.
"In order for our business to grow we must demonstrate that we have a strategic vision for the technological advancements that can improve our services to customers. With this project we have anticipated their future needs and created a solution which can grow and be expanded in the future," said IT vice president Paolo Santoni.
Previous Assologistica awards won by CEVA Logistics include in its smartphone app solution in 2016 and for its talent programme in 2017.
